Diapers--Who Knew??

Did your toddler finally get potty trained?  Or have you decided to try cloth diapering and want to do it cold turkey and need to get rid of those disposables?  Or your little newborn has gone from size NB to size 2 overnight?   Well--here are a few ways to use up those remaining disposables--

  • Line the bottom of a flower pot with the absorbant side of the diaper up.  The diaper will absorb excess water, and you won't need to water so often.  (Note: I take no responsibility for what the diaper gel might do to your plant roots!!)
  • Are you achy from toting your toddler throughout the mall?  Moisten a disposable diaper and place it in the microwave on medium-high setting for about 2 minutes. Check that it's not too hot for comfort and then apply to your achy part. Better yet--shop at Childish Things next time where you can put your little one down in our play area and you get to have both hands free to actually shop!
  • Donate them to the Childish Things changing table so parents who ran out of the house without their diaper bag can change their babe.  Hey--you KNOW you've done it yourself once or twice!!
Have any other uses you'd like to share?  Post them here for all parents to see.  Thanks for reading and sharing!!

PS--If you're getting rid of those disposables to try out cloth diapering, come into Childish Things for a cloth diapering demo--it's FREE!!
